Minister of Finance, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba has said the government will ensure that a large part of the budget is financed by domestic revenue, in order to grow the economy and build the concept of self-reliance.
He added that the government will continue to attract private sector investment which will help reduce the government's burden of borrowing abroad for the implementation of development projects and reduce budget dependence on development partners.
He said this today, June 2, 2025, in parliament in Dodoma while responding to a question from the Member of Parliament for Moshi Rural, Prof. Patrick Ndakidemi, who asked how the government is prepared to deal with changes in aid policies for some donor countries.
