14 political parties in the country have announced a merger with the aim of collaborating in the General Elections to be held in October 2025 with the intention of taking over the reins of power in the country. The leaders of the parties have explained that the move aims to strengthen the strength of the opposition and bring about real leadership changes.
Speaking at a press conference in Dodoma, they said they are waiting for the completion of the schedules of the major conferences of the relevant parties to agree on whether or not to nominate one presidential candidate.
However, the leaders have stressed that their commitment to unity is genuine and aims to bring productivity to the people.
