Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Tulia Ackson, has said that President Samia Suluhu Hassan's efforts in promoting Tanzania internationally through the films The Royal Tour and Amazing Tanzania have contributed significantly to the increase in the number of tourists from abroad. According to Speaker Tulia, the number has increased by more than 244.98 percent — from more than 600,000 tourists in 2020 to two million in 2024.
Dr. Tulia made the statement during a brief ceremony to present President Samia with a special award, held at the Parliament grounds in Dodoma. The award is a sign of recognition of the President's significant contribution to promoting the tourism sector and national development in general.
