The Chairman of the CCM Manifesto Committee, Professor Kitila Mkumbo, has said that his party recognizes that the family is the foundation of any strong nation. Recognizing this, the party has set out to ensure that the government strengthens the family by focusing on upbringing, development, and good Tanzanian values, including reducing gender violence in society.
Professor Mkumbo added that over the next five years, CCM will ensure that gender issues are fully considered in policy preparation, as well as the implementation of various development plans.
