The level of milk consumption in the country has been claimed to still be below international standards, where on average, one Tanzanian drinks 68 liters per year, as opposed to the 200 liters recommended internationally.
Some residents of Morogoro have stated that poor economic conditions are the main reason that prevents them from buying and consuming milk regularly, despite its health benefits.
