
Kipa wa Yanga, anayedakia Singida Black Stars kwa mkopo, Amas Obasogie ni miongoni mwa wachezaji walioitwa katika kikosi cha awali cha Nigeria kujiandaa na mechi mbili za kuwania kufuzu fainali za Kombe la Dunia 2026 baadaye mwezi huu.
Mechi hizo ni dhidi ya Rwanda ambayo itachezwa Kigali, Rwanda, Machi 19, 2025 na dhidi ya Zimbabwe itakayochezwa Machi 22 mwaka huu huko Uyo, Nigeria.
Ni kikosi ambacho kocha mpya wa timu hiyo Eric Chelle amejaza idadi kubwa ya wachezaji wanaocheza soka la kulipwa nje ya Nigeria na Amas ni mmojawapo.
Baada ya kukosekana kwa muda mrefu kikosini, nahodha Ahmed Musa amerejeshwa na kocha Chelle kufuatia kiwango bora alichokionyesha akiwa na Kano Pillars inayoshiriki Ligi Kuu ya Nigeria.
Kikosi hicho kitakuwa na nyota wawili wa ushambuliaji wanaotamba duniani kwa sasa, Ademola Lookman wa Atalanta ya Italia yumo kikosini na Victor Osimhen wa Galatasaray ya Uturuki.
Ni wachezaji sita tu wanaocheza ndani ya bara la Afrika ambao wameitwa kikosini ambao ni Stanley Nwabari, Abbas Mustapha, Obasogie, Kayode Bankole, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi na Musa.
