In ensuring that Tanzania becomes a hub for transport and transportation in Africa, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has identified 34 key steps that will help push forward the implementation of projects to improve and build transport and transportation infrastructure in the country over the next five years.
These measures aim to strengthen all road, rail, air, and port infrastructure to stimulate economic growth and increase international competitiveness.
The Chairman of the CCM Manifesto Committee, Professor Kitila Mkumbo, has said that one of the strategies is to ensure that regional and district roads are connected to asphalt level, to facilitate communication and the transport of goods and people between different parts of the country.
