In measures to address the problem of the shortage of decent housing in the country, the Revolutionary Party (CCM) has set goals to completely eliminate shacks by 2030.
This is part of the party's strategy in its new election manifesto, where it promises to ensure citizens have access to modern, safe and affordable housing.
The Chairman of the CCM Manifesto Committee, Professor Kitila Mkumbo, has said that over the next five years, the government will focus more on improving access to quality housing for citizens of all cadres.
