The Commissioner of the Secretariat for Ethics of Public Leaders, retired Judge Sivangilwa Mwangesi, has called on journalists in the country to continue to raise and report information about public leaders who violate the principles of ethics in their service.
Speaking today in Dar es Salaam at a working session between the secretariat and media editors, Commissioner Mwangesi said the media has a unique role in helping the nation find leaders who are honest and accountable to the citizens.
"Help us collect information to determine the integrity of our leaders in order to build a nation with ethical leaders who will bring development to the nation and its citizens," said retired Judge Mwangesi.
In addition, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between the media and government institutions in promoting accountability, integrity, and transparency among public leaders.
