Minister of State, President's Office (Planning and Investment), Professor Kitila Mkumbo has said Tanzania's GDP for 2024 reached 156.6 trillion shillings, compared to 148.8 trillion recorded in 2023.
This is equivalent to a growth of 5.5 percent, which places Tanzania on the list of countries with the highest GDP growth in the East African Region.
He said this in parliament today while presenting the Economic Situation Report for 2024 and the National Development Plan for 2025/26.
