The Minister of State, President's Office, Planning and Investment, Prof. Kitila Mkumbo, has told Parliament that according to a recent survey conducted by the Afrobarometer Institute, 71 percent of citizens are satisfied with the government's performance and 70 percent say the country is on the right track.
Presenting to parliament the National Economic Situation Plan for 2024 and the National Development Plan for the 2025/2026 financial year, Prof. Mkumbo said that while the average government approval rating in most African countries is 40 percent, Tanzania has achieved 71 percent, indicating a high level of public trust in their government.
