Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has said the Government is committed to empowering youth to participate in carbon trading, clean energy technology and waste recycling, as part of promoting a green economy.
He said this at the Youth and Environment Forum held in Dar es Salaam, as part of the World Environment Day celebrations, and explained that Tanzania has entered into an agreement with Japan on joint investment in carbon trading.
The Prime Minister has ordered all councils in the country to establish waste recycling centers, while the private sector is encouraged to participate in industrial waste recycling.
