Traders and agents selling agricultural inputs, including subsidized fertilizers and seeds, have been urged to follow the rules set by the authorities so that they can trade freely. They have also been warned against the practice of illegally smuggling these products and selling them abroad.
The call was made by the Southern Highlands Fertilizer Regulatory Authority Manager, Joshua Ng'ondya, at a meeting that brought together agents and input traders with the aim of discussing their challenges heading into the new agricultural season.
