The mining sector in Mara region continues to improve rapidly, where as of May 2025, mining offices in the region had already collected 98 percent of the expected collections for the 2024/2025 financial year. The statement was made by Mara Regional Commissioner, Colonel Evans Mtambi while speaking to journalists about the development of the sector.
Colonel Mtambi made the statement before journalists ahead of a mining exhibition scheduled to begin tomorrow in Musoma Municipality. More than 5,000 participants are expected to participate in the exhibition, which aims to encourage public participation in the mining sector and showcase the various opportunities available within the region.
