President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Court of Appeal Judge George Mcheche Masaju as the Chief Justice of the Judiciary of Tanzania

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Court of Appeal Judge George Mcheche Masaju as the Chief Justice of the Judiciary of Tanzania. Masaju replaces Prof. Ibrahim Hamis Juma who has retired.

According to a statement from the Office of the Chief Secretary, the swearing-in of the Chief Justice will take place on June 15, 2025, at State House, Chamwino Doodoma.
