President Samia Suluhu Hassan has donated 100 million shillings to support the construction of a fence for Ruvu Girls' Secondary School, Kibaha Rural, in the Coast region.
Representing the President at the fundraiser, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa said the donation reflects the President's commitment to ensuring the safety of students. The fundraiser raised a total of 510 million shillings out of the 700 million needed.
Majaliwa also urged the council to allocate local funds for the construction and renovation of schools. The construction chairman, CPA Amos Makala, said the aim is to ensure that girls study in a safe environment.
