The first trials of modern traps to catch skunks are expected to be held in Kagera region, to eliminate environmental challenges arising from the use of current traps.
The implementation of the trials is being carried out by the Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) in collaboration with the Kagera Regional Commissioner's Office. The measure is also expected to help entrepreneurs control the loss of senene during harvesting.
