Law and Corrections officers of the Prisons Force have been urged to ensure that they carry out their duties in accordance with the law, justice and dignity when serving prisoners and detainees.
The instructions were given by the Deputy Minister of Constitution and Justice in Morogoro region during the opening of the second phase of training for these officers, which aims to increase their knowledge on legal aid services, the reception of prisoners in prisons and the use of alternative punishments.
This training is expected to assist in the practical implementation of the concept of criminal justice that focuses on dignity and equality for all.
