The Traditional Army in Shinyanga district, popularly known as Sungusungu, has been an important pillar in preventing and reducing crime within the community, including restoring values to youth, building and managing various development projects in their areas.
This was stated in the 43rd anniversary of its establishment, as part of a reflection on its contribution to society.
