The death toll in a fatal accident involving a Hai Company bus and a cargo truck carrying a load of sugar in the Lugono Melela area, on the Morogoro-Iringa highway, has reached 10 people.
The accident occurred just over a week after another accident in Mbeya region killed 28 people, raising fears of an increase in serious road accidents in the country.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the accident while calling on drivers to comply with road safety laws.
