#NEWS: Mbeya Regional Commissioner Dr. Juma Homera has called on the National Housing Corporation (NHC) to invest in vacant areas in Mbeya City, especially rental houses, hotels or modern shops and the old market area where Mbeya trade fairs are held.

Speaking at the National Housing Corporation (NHC) pavilion during the Mbeya City Expo, which involved Southern African Development Community countries, Dr. Homera said that through the projects they have initiated, they should make efforts to find vacant areas in Mbeya City to be invested for the benefit of the country.

The Chief Sales Officer of the National Housing Corporation, Mr. Daniel Kule, has identified various projects implemented and ongoing by NHC.

"In these exhibitions, we have brought you ongoing projects and those that are expected to start. The current ongoing project is the Kawe 711 project in Dar es Salaam, it is a housing project with three, two and four rooms, but we also have the Samia Housing Scheme project which is coming in the second phase and will have two, three and one rooms," he said.

In addition, he said the National Housing Corporation has begun collaborating with construction stakeholders in Mbeya, Dar es Salaam and other areas, so it is an opportunity for these stakeholders to come to the NHC pavilion to gain an understanding of the various things being done by the NHC.
