Responding to a question from the Member of Parliament for Makete Constituency in Njombe Region, Festo Sanga today, May 30, 2025, who wanted to know what stage the preparations for the CHAN tournament expected to be held in the country have reached, Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Sports Hamis Mwinjuma said the renovation of the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam is in the final stages along with the New Amaan Complex Stadium, Zanzibar and the training grounds for the teams that will need them.
In addition, Deputy Minister Mwinjuma has said that even the Simba-Yanga game on June 15, 2025 will be played at the Mkapa Stadium.
