The government has said it will fund the ear tagging exercise in livestock in the country, as part of a strategy to strengthen identification and bring about improvements in the livestock sector.

The measure aims to simplify livestock management, monitoring of their information, as well as increasing the responsibility of livestock keepers in caring for their livestock.
