The Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Adolf Mkenda, has asked the Permanent Secretary of the ministry to include the budget for the Teaching Skills Awards given by the Tanzania Educational Institute (TET) to teachers in the ministry's budget so that the awards are sustainable.
Professor Mkenda issued the order on June 14, 2025 in Dar es Salaam during the presentation of the awards at a ceremony held at the library hall of the University of Dar es Salaam.
