President Samia Suluhu Hassan has sworn in George Masaju as the Chief Justice of Tanzania in a ceremony held today, June 15, 2025 at State House Chamwino, Dodoma.
In his speech, President Samia urged Judge Masaju to oversee the delivery of justice with integrity, as well as continue to implement the recommendations of the Criminal Justice Commission so that justice can prevail in the country.
Judge Masaju replaces Professor Ibrahim Juma who officially retired.
