The visually impaired in Mfinga Ward, Sumbawanga District, have complained about the poor driving practices of some bodaboda drivers who have been hitting them and endangering their safety.
They said that despite the challenges they face every day, they still face the fear of accidents resulting from disregard for traffic laws and a lack of understanding among some bodaboda drivers about the rights and safety of people with disabilities.
They have called on the Government and road safety authorities to take effective measures, including providing education to drivers to ensure their safety is taken into account.
