While the nation and residents of the Lake Zone eagerly await the launch of the JPM Bridge built over Lake Victoria between Busisi in Sengerema district and Kigongo in Misungwi district, traders in those areas have expressed their deep concern about their activities in the area.
They claim that the removal of ferries and the reduction in vehicle traffic stopping at these areas has significantly affected their business and led to an economic collapse.
However, the residents of Mwanza Region have praised the Government's efforts, asking the President and relevant authorities to build bus stations and markets to attract more people and thus develop commercial activities in those areas.
