The Deputy Minister of Education and Vocational Training in Zanzibar, Ali Abdulgulam, has said that in the Budget for the Fiscal Year 2025/2026, it has prioritized strengthening science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) education as well as skills education.

The Deputy Minister said the move aims to prepare excellent professionals who will assist the nation in digital and economic development.

He said this in Unguja while opening a three-day Zanzibar Education Review Conference aimed at discussing the achievements and challenges in the education sector on the islands.
