The government has said it is in the final stages of completing a bill to amend various criminal laws, where section 176 of the Penal Code Act, Chapter 16, has been proposed to be amended to control violations of morality, including same-sex marriages.
Deputy Minister for Constitutional Affairs and Justice, Jumanne Sagini, made this statement while responding to a question from Arumeru West MP, Noah Lembris, who wanted to know when the government would amend the marriage law to prohibit same-sex marriages.
