The Director General of the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB), Chrispin Chalamila, has visited the Surrender for Freedom center, which provides treatment services for alcohol and drug addicts located in Usariver, Arusha region, and handed over food aid as well as hygiene supplies to serve patients at the center.
At the event to hand over the aid, Chalamila stressed the importance of society having a positive attitude towards people who have experienced challenges with drug and alcohol use.
He said addiction is not a life sentence but a treatable condition, and these people have the ability to return to normal and participate fully in the development of society and the national economy.
