Iran’s Operation True Promise III ‘source of pride’ for Muslims: Ex-Pakistani defense secretary

Pakistan’s former defense secretary has commended the retaliatory Operation True Promise III against the Israeli-occupied territories as a “source of pride” for the regional countries and the Muslim world.

Naeem Khalid Lodhi said in an interview with Pakistan’s Bol News network on Saturday that the Israeli regime was taken aback by the daring Iranian strikes.

The military operation brought about derangement and confusion for the illegal entity and its sympathizers, he said.

“What the Iranians did to Israel was unpredictable for the regime itself and its supporters, including the United States,” Lodhi said.

Expressing concern over the escalation of tensions in the region and condemnation of Israel’s aggressive approach towards Iran, the Pakistani official said, “The Israelis thought that after their attacks, Iran would need time to assess, but the Iranian Armed Forces launched a surprise operation against Israel and that was truly astonishing.”

Lodhi further underlined that, “There is no doubt that the Zionists are not alone in this war, and at the forefront, the United States supports Israel. However, Westerners are unaware of Iran’s history and civilization. Iran and its people have overcome unprecedented crises throughout history but have never surrendered.”

Pakistan’s former defense secretary also warned against the Israeli plots to further expand the ongoing war, similar to false flag operations in the region, saying, “Unlike Israel, Iran is responding to the Israeli onslaught in a very calculated manner.”

In the early hours of Friday, Israel launched deadly terrorist attacks on various civilian areas and residential neighborhoods in the capital Tehran, and some other major cities.

The barbaric onslaught claimed dozens of innocent lives, as well as a number of the Islamic Republic’s high-ranking military commanders, and nuclear scientists.

The Israeli regime also carried out large-scale military aggression in multiple locations inside Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, military infrastructure, and residential buildings in Tehran and other cities.

As part of a crushing response and during a full-scale attack, code-named Operation True Promise III, the Israeli regime’s highly-acclaimed multi-tiered air defense system was successfully breached multiple times on Friday evening after Iran fired hundreds of missiles against the Israeli-occupied territories.

Under strict censorship rules imposed by Tel Aviv, the Israeli settlers have been forced to stop short of revealing the exact magnitude of damage and casualties in the wake of Iran’s retaliation, but intelligence trickle shows at least 10 people have been killed and 240 others injured.

The Iranian Armed Forces kicked off the sixth wave of Operation True Promise III on Saturday night, striking deep into the regime’s oil and industrial infrastructures across the occupied territories, not least in the port city of Haifa and its surroundings.
