Iran’s waves of all-out and devastating strikes against military installations and strategic sites within the Israeli-occupied territories, which are being carried out in the course of Operation True Promise III, will continue unabated, according to a report.
Fars news agency on Saturday quoted a source as saying that the conflict, which broke out with Israeli acts of aggression against multiple sites in Iran in the early hours of Friday, will engulf the entire occupied lands, and will plague US military bases across West Asia as well.
The unnamed source added, “Senior military officials have acknowledged that the confrontation will not be restricted to last night’s limited actions. Iran’s subsequent strikes will continue, and they will be very painful and regretful for aggressors.”
“History has shown that the Zionist regime launches a war by means of its crimes and atrocities. Nonetheless, evidence indicates that the Islamic Republic of Iran intends this time to subject this criminal regime and its advocates to a grim fate,” the source noted.
“It seems as if Israel and the United States, as the two main pillars of terrorism in the region, must await the consequences of their barbarities,” within the next few days, the informed source concluded.
The remarks come as a senior commander said Iran’s retaliatory Operation True Promise III had hit three Israeli airbases that were used as launch sites for attacks on the Islamic Republic.
Brigadier General Ahmadi Vahidi, a top advisor to the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), said on Friday night that Nevatim and Ovda airbases, in which the Israeli regime’s command and control center and electronic warfare center are located, have been targeted in Iran’s attack.
The general noted that those two bases were used as origins of aggression against Iran.
The other sites struck by the IRGC included Tel Nof airbase near Tel Aviv, the premises of the Israeli ministry of military affairs, as well as its industrial and military centers in Tel Aviv, General Vahidi stated.
Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, and six nuclear scientists, including Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi and Fereydoon Abbasi, have been martyred in the Israeli strikes on Friday.
