Houthi: Gaza aid sites have turned into death traps for Palestinians

The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has condemned the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, stating that aid sites in the blockaded territory have turned into death traps for desperate people trying to access meager food parcels for their hungry families.

Delivering a televised speech on Thursday evening, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi pointed to the miserable situation of Palestinians in Gaza, stating that aid distribution sites have become human slaughterhouses as Israeli forces shoot at crowds waiting for food at these centers.

“The Zionist enemy killed and wounded more than 2,400 people in the course of its atrocities in Gaza this week. Apart from its brutalities and massacres, the Israeli regime is keeping Gazans hungry,” he said.

He added, “The Israeli military has been preventing humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip for more than a hundred days.”

The Ansarullah chief denounced Israel’s targeted killings of Palestinians waiting to receive aid as the most heinous crime.

“The American enemy is engineering the genocidal campaign in Gaza through starvation or killing through death traps and human slaughterhouses. These atrocities fall within the Zionist enemy’s notorious and vicious scheme aimed at complete domination over the entire Palestinian territories and even beyond.”

Elsewhere in his speech, Houthi pointed to the Israeli airstrikes against the southern suburbs of Lebanon’s capital Beirut, late on June 5.

“The Israeli enemy intensified its aggression against the southern suburbs of Beirut on the night of Eid al-Adha, and pressed ahead its aggression against Lebanon. Its diverse and recurrent crimes in Lebanon show the regime and even its sponsors are not trustworthy, and resistance is a definite option.”

“The US’s partnership emboldens the Zionist enemy to intensify its attacks, acts of aggression, and violations of international law and treaties. The empathy and inaction of Arab and Muslim countries is the greatest incentive for the Israeli enemy to continue its crimes,” the Ansarullah chief said.

Turning to the Yemeni retaliatory operations against targets in the Israeli-occupied territories, Houthi said, “Among our operations this week was the launch of five missiles towards Ben Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv. The Tuesday night operation was a powerful, effective, and successful one.”

The Ansarullah leader highlighted that the operation created chaos and commotion in the so-called Israeli air defense system.

“Our operation this week was carried out in line with the continuous efforts to enforce an aerial blockade on the occupying Israeli regime, and was in response to the escalation of attacks and genocidal assaults against Palestinians,” Houthi said.

The leader of the Ansarullah movement also said the naval blockade in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and Bab el-Mandab continues in full force, and navigation is prohibited for Israeli-affiliated vessels.

“The Yemeni nation is striving to improve its morale and operational level, and develop its capabilities. Over the past 20 months, all results have been in favor of our nation. We have also made sacrifices, which have been fruitful and important,” Houthi concluded.
