The Palestinian Hamas resistance movement has condemned the assassination of a number of high-profile Iranian commanders in the latest Israeli acts of aggression against the Islamic Republic, emphasizing that the martyred military top brass steadfastly supported Palestinians in the face of the Zionist regime’s crimes.
The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, in a statement on Monday paid heartfelt tribute to Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Chief Commander Major General Hossein Salami, and Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid.
The Gaza-based group underscored that the late commanders played a “pivotal and historic role” in supporting the Palestinian cause, noting their sacrifices reflect decades of steadfast commitment in the face of the Israeli occupation.
The statement highlighted that time will reveal the nature of their significant contributions, which serve as a lever of pressure in Palestinians’ struggle against the Zionist enemy, and bring us closer to a final victory over the fake regime of Israel.
The Qassam Brigades also commended Iran’s waves of all-out and devastating strikes against military installations and strategic sites within the Israeli-occupied territories, which are being carried out in the course of Operation True Promise III.
It stated that the “heroic” retaliatory strikes shook the foundations of the occupying Tel Aviv regime, dispelled all its illusions, and proved that its treacherous acts of aggression cannot wreck the willpower of freedom-loving people.
The operations increased the strength and determination of resistance forces to inflict a heavy loss upon the Zionist regime, it added.
The Qassam Brigades finally reaffirmed its full support for the Iranian nation and leadership, expressing hope for the ultimate victory over Israel and full liberation of the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
