After a series of Israeli aggressor and terrorist attacks on Iranian cities, with yesterday’s retaliatory attack, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) once again taught the aggressor Israeli regime a lesson and embarrassed their air defense systems.
On Friday evening, Iran launched retaliatory missile strikes on the Zionist entity, targeting military bases and other regime’s locations across Tel Aviv in response to Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear, military and civilian infrastructure earlier that day.
The attack took the Israeli regime by surprise, as many predicted that Iran would reportedly need days to regroup its military leadership, and that it would deliberately keep them in limbo and paralysis for some time.
However, the postponement did not happen and in line with announcements from top Iranian officials, including Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Iran launched ballistic missile strikes in multiple salvos last night.
The Iranian main attack, dubbed “Operation Severe Punishment” or “True Promise III,” was preceded by the afternoon launch of at least a hundred kamikaze drones aimed at engaging enemy aircraft and air defense missile supplies.
The night strike involved tens of ballistic missiles, with at least five different sites hit in the occupied Palestinian territory, including two airbases, two nuclear facilities, and a regime complex of military-intelligence buildings.
The Iranian ballistic strike refuted a number of Israeli propaganda claims, such as that they had decapitated Iran’s ballistic program in the October 2024 aggression, that the Bandar Abbas port explosion involved substitute rocket fuel, and that they had upgraded their air defenses to “impenetrability.”
As on the last two occasions, Iran demonstrated military power and technological capability, successfully penetrating the air defense shield around the Israeli regime’s most important political, military, and nuclear sites.
The targets hit include Tel Nof airbase near Tel Aviv, Nevatim airbase in the Negev desert that houses F-35 warplanes, Dimona nuclear facility, Tel Aviv Nuclear Research Center, and the Kirya district in Tel Aviv, known as the “Israeli Pentagon.”
All five important locations were accurately predicted in yesterday’s Press TV analysis of potential targets, hours before the Iranian strike was launched.
The Israeli regime again tried to cover up the success of the Iranian strike, asking settlers not to post photos and videos of the Iranian strikes on the internet and social media, but to no avail.
Many field reports of Iranian missile attacks have been published on social media by Zionists or Americans, the most important of which was a report by a Fox News reporter about the extensive destruction of the Zionist Ministry of War building in Kirya.
The report of military commanders also shows that 150 strategic points have been targeted by Iran. Major General Mohammad Pakpour, Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, said in this regard: “We will open the gates of hell to the Zionists.”
Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, called the retaliatory operation successful and highlighted the targets.
“The Tel Nof and Nevatim bases were hit by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ballistic missiles; the Ministry of War and the regime’s industrial and military centers in Tel Aviv were also hit.”
Pointing out that the Israeli army made a miscalculation in attacking our infrastructure, he added: “In total, the planners had more than 150 targets in mind in this operation, and these targets were successfully targeted in several stages.”
Field sources report that extensive destruction was observed in Tel Aviv during the Iranian missile attacks, with one Zionist settler commenting: “Iran hit whatever it wanted with missiles in Tel Aviv during the difficult night.”
The US ambassador to the occupied territories also had a difficult night and strongly complained about it, saying: “Tel Aviv had a difficult night; I had to go to the shelter five times during the night.”
The Iranian ballistic strike had a much more devastating physical and moral impact than Israeli attacks with cruise missiles and drones with warheads weighing up to several tens of kilograms, because Iranian ballistic missiles have warheads weighing half a ton to one ton.
According to Iranian military sources, the weapon used was the Kheibar Shekan missile, a solid-fuel, medium-range ballistic missile known for its maneuverable warhead and ability to evade air defenses.
It has a range of 1,450 km and is designed for high-speed, precision strikes. The salvos of these missiles were attempted to be stopped by multi-layered Israeli and American air defense systems, including David’s Sling, Arrow, Patriot, and THAAD, but without success.
