The Revolutionary Party (CCM), through its new election manifesto, has directed the government to ensure that it creates more than 350,000 jobs within a five-year period. The aim of this measure is to reduce the problem of unemployment among the country's youth, which has continued to be a major challenge to national development.
The Chairperson of the CCM – Zanzibar Manifesto Committee, Saada Mkuya, said that during the five-year period, the party will continue to closely monitor the implementation of these instructions, to ensure that the government fulfills its promises to the people. He noted that these jobs will contribute to boosting the economy of individuals as well as the nation as a whole.
In addition, Saada Mkuya added that CCM is determined to ensure that the government manages and establishes quality housing, using new technologies that will focus on urban beautification and environmental protection.
