
An Israeli airstrike on a residential high-rise in the Iranian capital, Tehran, has killed at least 60 people, including 29 children, according to authorities.
The 14-story building, located in Shahid Chamran Township, was among the first targets hit in a wave of Israeli attacks on both civilian and military sites across Tehran and other major cities in the early hours of Friday.
Officials say the bodies of at least 10 people remain trapped beneath the rubble. Among the victims are infants as young as six and nine months old.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed the act of aggression in a post on X.
“In one particularly atrocious instance, an Israeli strike on a residential building resulted in the killing of 60 innocent people, including 29 children,” he said.
The Israeli regime has perpetrated an egregious act of aggression against Iran. Through coordinated missile and drone strikes, it targeted residential neighborhoods, civilian infrastructure, and nuclear facilities subject to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards.…

Following the news that dozens of children had been killed in one attack, Brigadir General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces, told IRIB News that the Israeli regime “dragged these innocent individuals through blood and dust,” as they were preparing to celebrate Eid al-Ghadir, “with some even planning their wedding ceremonies.”
“The fake, criminal, and child-killing Zionist regime assaulted our country’s residential areas yesterday morning, massacring a significant number of innocent people, especially women and children,” Shekarchi said.
Israel’s barbaric onslaught on Iran has so far claimed dozens of innocent lives, including a number of the Islamic Republic’s top military officials and commanders.
