At least 15 Palestinians have been killed and tens of others injured after hundreds of people tried to enter an aid site run by the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
Civilians are forced to seek help from GHF due to the Israeli regime’s ongoing ban on other aid organizations typically responsible for receiving and delivering aid to Gaza.
Palestinians, particularly children, have found themselves with no choice but to risk their lives to get food from GHF amid an Israeli-imposed aid blockade intentionally starving the 2.3 million population of Gaza.
The brutal blockade of food and aid entering Gaza is part of the Israeli regime’s wider plan to expel Palestinians from the besieged Strip.
GHF has been, and continues to be, complicit in an organized crime targeting civilians through the lure of “aid.”
Field reports document that within just two weeks of its operations, the foundation, through teams operating under the protection of occupation forces, caused the martyrdom of over 130 civilians who were shot directly while attempting to access food parcels at the checkpoints.
On Wednesday, the Israeli regime’s forces killed at least 57 aid seekers near GHF sites across the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported.
The UN and other aid groups refuse to cooperate with the GHF system, saying it contravenes the humanitarian principles of neutrality, impartiality, and independence.
