The Israeli military says a ballistic missile from Yemen has triggered sirens across the Israeli-occupied territories, as Yemeni Armed Forces press ahead with their operations in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip amidst the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal war on the coastal sliver.
The army announced in a statement that air raid sirens were activated in the central part, the al-Quds area, several illegal West Bank settlements, as well as some areas in the southern sector of the occupied lands on Monday evening.
The military went on to claim that its anti-air missile systems “intercepted” the projectile.
Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency response service did not report any direct injuries from the attack or impacts from debris.
Preceding the sirens by three minutes, an early warning was purportedly issued to settlers, alerting them of the long-range missile attack via a push notification on their phones.
The latest Yemeni missile launch came a day after Yemeni Armed Forces claimed responsibility for a retaliatory operation against Israeli targets deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories in response to the ongoing aggression against the people of Gaza.
The Yemeni military announced in a statement that its missile units had carried out a qualitative military operation, targeting Ben Gurion airport outside Tel Aviv.
The operation successfully achieved its objective, causing millions of illegal settlers to seek refuge in bomb shelters.
As the genocidal war on Gaza escalated, the Yemenis enforced a strategic blockade on essential maritime routes, with the goal of obstructing the delivery of military supplies to Israel and urging the international community to take action regarding the ongoing humanitarian emergency in Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared they will not stop their assaults unless Israel ceases its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
