Geita Region has said it will focus on eliminating plastic waste in environmental care and conservation in the region in order to eliminate such waste which has become a threat to the lives of various creatures including animals, birds and fish.
The regional Environmental Conservation Officer, Tito Mlelwa, made the announcement during a street clean-up as part of the opening of 'World Environment Week'.
