The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has congratulated President Samia Suluhu Hassan for being awarded an honorary award by the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania, recognizing her significant contribution to bringing about social and economic development in the country.
At the award ceremony held today at the Bunge grounds in Dodoma, NBC CEO, Theobald Sabi, said the bank will continue to collaborate with the government and the private sector to achieve strategic projects for the benefit of Tanzanians, through quality financial services such as loans, financing and financial advice.
"We greatly congratulate His Excellency President Samia for this prestigious award, which shows how his efforts are being recognized nationally. NBC will continue its efforts by prioritizing strategic projects such as infrastructure improvements, agriculture, health, education, tourism and sports," said Sabi.
Citing an example, Sabi explained how NBC participated as an advisor in the Tanga Water Authority (Tanga-UWASA) bond sale last year, to facilitate the construction of water infrastructure. He added that the bank continues to be closely involved in government projects through loans, international financial services, foreign exchange and funding of social projects, especially in the health sector.
