Various stakeholders from civil society and public organizations are in Arusha for a special session to discuss proposed amendments to the Access to Information Act of 2016, as well as the Non-Governmental Organizations Act.
These discussions, among other things, provide an opportunity for stakeholders to express their views on legal and practical challenges that hinder the right to information, while also aiming to improve transparency and increase citizen participation in various fields.
